    Let me guess…you had it plugged into the back of a laptop, and you tilted the laptop backwards?

    Been there, done that.

    my usb-death was better! i recieved this free wireless mouse and the usb reciever from something i can’t remember. i used it for a few minutes – it was crap. so i moved the usb reciever from the back of the pc to the front (i still had the usb ports at the front connected then). the usb ports are, stupidly, at the bottom of the case. my chair ate the reciever. fin.
